Welcome to Pukka Pilates & Physical Therapy! Prior to your first in-studio lesson, please review the Updated Policies & Procedures below (effective June 15, 2021). These best practices are in place to ensure you can safely return to your fitness routine. Just a reminder that the pandemic is not over and some of our clients are unable to receive the COVID-19 vaccination so ask that you still exercise caution while in the studio and respect individual concerns and personal space. We will be evaluating these practices and adjusting as we receive updates from the County of San Diego and other subject matter experts.  We’re grateful to be in a position to serve our members at the highest level and thank you all for entrusting us with your health and safety throughout this process.  We look forward to seeing you in the studio soon!

LIABILITY WAIVERS/INTAKE FORMS:

To accurately define the new liabilities faced in these times, a new Intake Form and Liability Waiver that also outlines the new studio Policies & Procedures will be required of each client prior to your first visit to the studio.  Click on this link to be re-directed to the main Mindbody page (do not use the app or go through the Pukka website). Once you log in, you will be prompted to review and attest to the new studio polices and procedures.

DISINFECTED STUDIO:

The studio has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and will continue to be on a regular basis. Because of this, and to keep a clean environment, no shoes will be allowed in the studio.  Please remove and store shoes in designated cubbies/baskets. Clean, non-slip, closed toe socks are required to work out in the studio. If you forget your socks, you will be required to purchase a new pair.

Teachers will be permitted to wear clean indoor only shoes.

PROTOCOL TO ENTER STUDIO:

Clients must wait outside the studio until let in by your instructor.

Clients are kindly asked to depart directly after their session to avoid congestion as the next group is trying to enter.

Only clients with appointments will be allowed into the studio. Visitors and children will not be allowed for their safety and the safety of our clients.

FACE COVERING:

Fully vaccinated clients do not need to wear a face covering.

Non-fully vaccinated clients are required to wear a face covering while in the studio.

ILLNESS AND TEMPERATURE CHECKS:

Do not enter the studio if your temperature is over 100º, you are ill or have been knowingly exposed to an ill person, or have traveled outside of the country. Please observe a 14-day waiting period before returning to the studio or have a negative COVID-19 test.

Pukka will reserve the right to ask any person to depart if they are exhibiting symptoms of illness, declare that they have been in contact with another ill person, or refuse to cooperate with the guidelines as set forth in the Pukka Pilates & Physical Therapy Policies.

PERSONAL ITEMS:

After entering the studio, remove your shoes and place in designated cubbies/baskets and wear clean, non-slip, closed toe socks while in the studio.

Please leave your personal items at home and only bring into the studio your essentials like keys, wallet/purse, towel and water bottle. Cell phones must be silenced while in the studio. All personal items must be stored in designated cubbies/basket.

Please refrain from wearing strong cologne or perfumes as a courtesy to those who may have sensitivity.

HAND SANITIZATION:

After removing shoes and storing personal items, use the hand sanitizing gel before your go to your apparatus. Use the hand sanitizing gel again or hand wash before you leave the studio.

STRAPS/TOWELS:

We will no longer be able to provide cotton towels. Clients may bring their own clean towels.  Items may not be left at the studio.  If any items are left at the studio they will unfortunately need to be disposed of, but we will make our best effort to contact you if anything is left behind.

All straps have been covered with vinyl for easy cleaning and disinfecting between use.

CLEANING:

All surfaces, straps, handles, and props will be disinfected after each use using the provided disinfecting wipes.

TACTILE CUEING

Please let us know if you are uncomfortable with tactile cueing (touch). To achieve correct form, tactile as well as verbal and visual cueing is used.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

All appointments are subject to a 24-hour cancellation notice. A full session fee will be charged for cancellations less than 24 hours’ lead-time.

Classes start on time. Tardiness may result in forfeiting your spot to someone on the waitlist. Also for your safety, you will not be allowed to participate in class if you’ve missed too much of the warm up.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchange packages.
