We’re excited to welcome you all back through our doors at Pukka! Prior to your first in-studio lesson, please review the Reopening Policies & Procedures below. These best practices are in place to ensure you can return safely to your fitness routines.  We will be evaluating these practices on a daily basis and adjusting as we receive updates from the County and other subject matter experts.  We are grateful to be in a position to serve our members at the highest level and thank you all for entrusting us with your health and safety throughout this process.  We will get through this together and appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate through this “new normal” and learn how to respect individual concerns and personal space.

LIABILITY WAIVERS/INTAKE FORMS:

To accurately define the new liabilities faced in these times, a new Intake Form and Liability Waiver that also outlines the new studio Policies & Procedures will be required of each client prior to your first visit to the studio.  Click on this link to be re-directed to the main Mindbody page (do not use the app or go through the Pukka website). Once you log in, you will be prompted to review and attest to the new studio polices and procedures.

DISINFECTED STUDIO:

Prior to re-opening, the studio has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and will continue to be on a regular basis. Because of this, and to keep a clean environment, no shoes will be allowed in the studio.  Please remove and store shoes in designated cubbies/baskets. Clean, non-slip, closed toe socks are required to work out in the studio. If you forget your socks, you will be required to purchase a new pair.

Teachers will be permitted to wear clean indoor only shoes.

RECONFIGURED STUDIO:

The studios have been reconfigured so that all Pilates equipment used is a minimum of 6-feet apart. Please remain at your designated apparatus through the duration of your lesson unless otherwise instructed by your teacher. Your teacher will let you into the studio when it is time and instruct you where to go.  Please maintain a 6-foot distance from each person while in the studio.

PROTOCOL TO ENTER STUDIO:

Sessions/Classes will be 50-minutes long and may be scheduled off of the hour by 15 minutes (before/after) to allow time between each session for extra cleaning and safe client transition.

Clients must wait outside the studio until let in by your instructor.

Clients are kindly asked to depart directly after their session to avoid social “non-distancing” encounters with the next client.

Only clients with appointments will be allowed into the studio. Visitors and children will not be allowed for their safety and the safety of our clients.

FACE COVERING:

Each client must wear a face covering while in the studio, unless you have a medical condition or trouble breathing. Each instructor will be wearing a face covering.

ILLNESS AND TEMPERATURE CHECKS:

We request that each teacher and client take their temperature prior to coming to the studio before each session. However, we will have touchless thermometers by the front entrance if you need to take your temperature at the studio. Please do not enter the studio if your temperature is over 100º, you are ill or have been knowingly exposed to an ill person, or have traveled outside of the country. Please observe a 14-day waiting period before returning to the studio.

Pukka will reserve the right to ask any person to depart if they are exhibiting symptoms of illness, declare that they have been in contact with another ill person, or refuse to cooperate with the guidelines as set forth in the Pukka Pilates & Physical Therapy Policies.

PERSONAL ITEMS:

After entering the studio, remove your shoes and place in designated cubbies/baskets and wear clean, non-slip, closed toe socks while in the studio.

Please leave your personal items at home and only bring into the studio your essentials like keys, wallet/purse, towel and water bottle. Cell phones must be silenced while in the studio. All personal items must be stored in designated cubbies/basket.

HAND SANITIZATION:

After removing shoes and storing personal items, use the hand sanitizing gel before your go to your apparatus. Use the hand sanitizing gel again or hand wash before you leave the studio.

STRAPS/TOWELS:

We will no longer be able to provide cotton towels. Clients may bring their own clean towels.  Items may not be left at the studio.  If any items are left at the studio they will unfortunately need to be disposed of, but we will make our best effort to contact you if anything is left behind.

All straps have been covered with vinyl for easy cleaning and disinfecting between use.

HANDS OFF!

Our team will maintain social distance and will not touch you during sessions.  We request the same from you.  To limit the number of surfaces touched, we will minimize the use of props in the early phases of reopening (these will be set for you before class).  Do not despair, we will get extra creative with all the bells and whistles inherent in the equipment itself.  Feel free to bring any of your own props if you wish!

SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES:

Our semi-private classes will be limited to (5) five with at least 6 feet of space between each client at all times in all sessions. We will no longer allow walk-ins at this time so make sure you reserve your spot prior to class.

PACKAGES AND SERIES:

Private and Semi-Private sessions are valid for 12-months after purchase.  We’re extending previously purchased packages as we go and will continue to do so in the event we are required to stay-at-home again.  You may use your series for virtual online classes or in the studio.

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchange packages.

CLEANING:

All surfaces, straps, handles, and props will be disinfected after each use with an all-natural EPA approved cleaning and disinfecting solution for COVID-19. The contact time is 10-minutes for disinfection and a microfiber towel will be used to wipe off the excess. The microfiber towel will then be placed in the hamper after each use to be laundered.

Disinfection is for hard, non-porous surfaces.  Porous or soft surfaces cannot be disinfected but rather, cleaned.  You may also bring a clean towel from home to cover your machine or mat.

BATHROOMS:

We request all visitors to use the restroom here as little as possible to reduce exposure to the high contact surfaces involved.  High contact surfaces will be wiped daily, but we are unable to ask our instructors to bear the burden of disinfecting the restrooms.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Teachers must pre-plan appointment times, use of equipment and studio space so all appointments are subject to a 24-hour cancellation notice. A full session fee will be charged for cancellations less than 24 hours’ lead-time.

Classes start on time. You will not be allowed to join the class if you are late and will forfeit your session.
